Our Campsite
Pääkslahti Campsite is a great place for relaxation for all ages. Pääkslahti is located approximately 65 kilometers from the center of Helsinki, on the shore of the large and fish-rich Lake Hiidenvesi.
For those coming from further away, the area serves as an excellent base for exploring the sights of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
The main building, Tipula, hosts communal events and parties. Tipula also functions as an evening gathering place for visitors and seasonal residents.
The wood-burning sauna in the lakeside provides magnificent steam. The sauna has a traditional large wood-heated water cauldron, where hot water is mixed with cold well water. The sauna terrace offers a lake view. From the sauna, steps lead down to the swimming pier.
The maintenance building in the area has men's and women's toilets and showers, as well as a dishwashing area. Additionally, near the shore, there's a summer dishwashing area, and container buildings house toilets and a shower.
The children's playground has trampolines, a sandbox, swings, and a climbing frame. Next to the playground is a large grassy field with soccer goals. Furthermore, the area has pedal cars and an indoor play area for children in Tipula's attic.
Next to the caravan area is a public sand beach.
There is a 15-hole disc golf course running through the area: partly in the forest, partly across the grounds.
Mini golf, pedal cars, air hockey, darts, and billiards are freely available for guests to use.
A rowing boat and two SUP boards are available for rent. Reservations and payments are handled at Tipula.
Guests can prepare their own food at the grilling area, summer kitchen, lean-to, and in Tipula's kitchen.
Tipula has a small kiosk offering some necessities, sweets, refreshments, and ice cream.
Tipula also has karaoke equipment, which is used during evening gatherings, as appropriate.
A warm welcome to Pääkslahti to relax and enjoy!
